09 Dec GLXG at the 7th International Congress of Integrative Medicine (ICIM) in Porto
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the 7th International Congress of Integrative Medicine (ICIM) in December 2025 in Porto, Portugal. The atmosphere was warm, dynamic and collaborative, bringing together professionals who share a commitment to evidence-based, person-centred integrative care. For our team, it was a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships with existing partners and to meet many new doctors and practitioners who are working at the forefront of integrative and functional medicine.
A big thank you to Dr Ana Moreira and her wonderful team for the huge task of organising a successful event. Their hard work, professionalism and hospitality were evident throughout the congress, from the high-quality educational sessions to the seamless logistics and engaging exhibitor spaces. Creating a space where clinicians from different countries and disciplines can meet, learn and exchange ideas is no small achievement, and we were honoured to play a part in it.
This was our first time at ICIM, and we were proud to attend as a sponsor. Over the course of the congress, we met doctors and practitioners from around the world and listened to the stories behind their clinical work, their diagnostic challenges and the needs of their patients. Many shared common themes: the complexity of chronic conditions, the importance of personalised medicine, and the ongoing difficulty of navigating specialist lab testing options. Hearing how closely these needs align with the services GLXG provides made the experience especially rewarding and confirmed that our presence at ICIM was a real success for our team and our partners.
It was a particular pleasure to welcome the renowned Professor Doutor Manuel Pinto Coelho and Ricardo Leitão Machado to our GLXG stand. Conversations with them about clinical practice, prevention and innovation in integrative medicine were both inspiring and energising. We also greatly enjoyed their joint lecture on “Seawater: A Superfood,” which explored reframing health through molecular hydrogen-rich seawater and highlighted how thoughtful use of nature’s resources can support resilience and wellbeing. Sessions like this reflect the curiosity and scientific openness that make ICIM such a valuable meeting point.
A constant theme in our discussions with clinicians was the challenge of finding the most appropriate specialist lab tests, and then ensuring those tests reach patients’ doorsteps smoothly, wherever they live. This is exactly where GLXG fits in. We bridge the space between doctor, laboratory and patient, connecting clinics to a global network of trusted partner labs and more than 6,000 advanced diagnostic tests and bespoke panels. Our team coordinates logistics, helps match clinical questions with suitable testing options, and supports practitioners with a personal, responsive service at every step.
We left Porto grateful for the connections made and excited about the collaborations ahead. Over the coming months, we look forward to supporting the clinicians we met at ICIM with access to advanced laboratory diagnostics and our global network of support.
We are also delighted to share that we will be attending the IPM congress in London in June 2026, often described as the London equivalent of ICIM in Portugal, which will be our second time at IPM. For GLXG, these gatherings are an important part of building a stronger, more connected integrative medicine community, and we look forward to continuing the conversations started in Porto.
